Sustainable rigid plastics converter of the year

The Sustainable Rigid Plastics Converter of the Year at the PRIME Awards 2025 recognizes innovation and leadership in the rigid plastics conversion sector, focusing on sustainability. This award celebrates companies that excel in developing closed-loop systems to transform post-consumer waste into recyclable rigid plastic products. By using sustainable materials like rPET, rHDPE, and rLDPE, these companies demonstrate that a circular economy is both achievable and commercially viable.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Closed-Loop System Implementation:
The company must use a closed-loop system for recycling rigid plastics (e.g., PET to rPET, HDPE to rHDPE).

  2. Sustainable Sourcing & Production:
Materials must come from post-consumer waste and be processed into recyclable forms, with transparency in sourcing and end-of-life management.

  3. Innovation in Recycling:
Preference will be given to companies that employ innovative recycling technologies or reduce carbon emissions in the process.

  4. Environmental Impact & Certification:
Evidence of reduced environmental impact (e.g., lower CO₂ emissions) and certifications like ISO 14001 will be considered.

  5. Market Application:
The products must be market-ready and demonstrate real-world use in promoting circularity.
